lauren work Phillips
You can find Lauren, owner of The Farmer’s Daughter, with her feet in the dirt and a coffee in her hand. At the shop, she is meeting with clients, ordering and designing with the most delicious flowers, and staging that perfect floral portrait. The thing that makes Lauren’s heart skip a beat is the warm relationships she has been able to create with her wedding clients, regular customers, and the team of her dreams. Finding flowers was the magic she was meant to create.
Paul phillips
Student of the soil. Needs full sun and plenty to drink. From bud vases and compotes, to statement pieces and installations, Paul can be found designing florals for our clients. When he’s not in the shop, Paul is barefoot in the flower fields tending to all things garden. Our farm makes up a large portion of the blooms we carry during the Pittsburgh growing season and has been recognized as a certified Monarch Butterfly Waystation. Winter is one of the most exciting times for Paul and Lauren as growers. They look over an empty field and think up what it will look like. When the garden fills in, it is like their imagination has come to life, and their dreams coming true.
Ashley Cameron
If you hear someone giggling or talking to themselves, it’s likely our eccentric, multi-tasking Shop Manager Ashley is in the room. In addition to stocking our retail space with goodies, she can be found teaching workshops, climbing trees and anything else at event sites to create large scale designs, and consulting with out of town clients to make magic happen. She is fancied as a renaissance woman whose mechanics skills rival MacGyver’s. Being allowed to nurture the shop since before day one, she is walking on sunshine seeing it’s evolution and existence come to fruition. Sometimes, she even believes she’s living in a colorful dream creating art with incredible beings she is surrounded by, and gets to “work” with every day!
Clara bahan
Clara, or Celebration as we call her, is a lover of Burning Man and all things mystical. She is always organizing the shop, singing to the flowers, and working on her crystal corner. Clara loves this job for a million reasons, but the special family that has been created is tops. Seeing the store grow and being part of the magic is so exciting and inspiring.
Erica Sera
Meet Erica, the most graceful member of the Farmers Daughter family. You can find Erica creating stunning arrangements for deliveries, making beautiful bridesmaid bouquets for our wedding clients, and doing spot-on celebrity impersonations including Andre the Giant and Kermit the Frog. Erica loves being able to create beauty everyday... and the occasional FD work cocktail on Fridays at 5.
jenna wetmore
In the innermost workings of The Farmer’s Daughter you will find Jenna: constructing one of a kind floral pieces in our design space, consulting with clients, or weaving her way throughout the store creating imaginative displays and designing visual confectionery. But whether it’s making an engaged couple’s fantasy a reality or curating the perfect picture window, Jenna’s inventiveness and design skills are at the forefront. What Jenna loves most about the job is having the honor and privilege to be working in a beautiful environment, with beautiful blooms, and incredibly beautiful people.
Tara Gupton
The organizational guru of the Farmer's Daughter, Tara. Lover of being busy with multiple jobs, cooking and eating at any new restaurant, and obsessing over any yellow flower that arrives in the shop. She can be found creating color-coordinating organizational systems for the shop, doing way too much simple math, and making pretty 'grab-and-go' bouquets for our walk in customers. Tara thanks her lucky stars every day for falling upon her dream job working with fabulous ladies to create happiness through flowers.
